To see your Council representatives go to Shire Councillors.
Two nominations were received for four vacancies by close of nominations at 4pm Thursday 14 September. These were from Cr’s Owen Garner and Emma Holdsworth and we thank them for re-nominating for Council. Cr’s Garner and Holdsworth are elected unopposed for four year terms ending October 2021. The result declaration can be viewed here:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cr’s Campbell Jones and Lynsey Gawley for their service to the community. The four year term of both councillors will end 20 October as they devote more time to family, work and other endeavours. The contribution of both elected members to committee work, development of council strategy and plans and their strong representation of community has been highly valued by their elected member colleagues and shire employees. I encourage community members to personally thank both for their work on behalf of all.
An extraordinary election will now be held to fill two vacancies with nominations opening shortly. Please consider nominating for this important role and discuss any questions you may have with an elected member past or present or shire staff.
