Club Development Officer in Wylie every Friday

This means Shahan will be sharing her time between the NEWROC Shires and will be in Wyalkatchem every Friday between 10.30am and 4pm.  Shahan is based in Mukinbudin.

Shahan's role is to provide club committees and members  with ongoing skills to run their own clubs, develop sport and recreation opportunities including junior sporting programs and find better ways to apply for grants.  She will be putting out a regular newsletter on issues, events and activities occurring within each NEWROC community. Shahan will be out and about meeting all our clubs over the next few months, filling them in on the club development program, including finding out what their issues are.  Shahan is also developing a recreation strategic plan for the NEWROC region which will set out Wylie's requirements and is also currently negotiating with Lotterywest funding for the implementation of a health and fitness officer to develop and implement programs for local communities.  The Shire welcomes Shahan and hopes that all clubs will take advantage of her expertise.  She can be contacted on 0427 801 242, email shahan@mukinbudin.wa.gov.au
