Library and Tourist InformationA well stocked library which has recently been moved to the Visitor Centre is open to community members 10.30 am until 4pm Monday to Friday. Membership is free. The Visitor Centre is open Monday to Friday and houses the CBH museum.
Rubbish Collection
A contract rubbish service which uses 240 litre mobile bins is provided to townsite residents every Wednesday
Road Maintenance, Airstrip and DamsThe Shire’s works crew is responsible for keeping the Shire’s roads in good condition. The airstrip is also the Shire's responsibility along with dam maintenance Transport-licencing, Dog registration Motor Vehicle, drivers and gun licences may be paid at the Shire Office and all dogs should be registered

Cricket, football, netball, basketball and hockey are played at the Recreation Centre
