Fire Permits/Burning Information

Restricted Burning Period:

19 September 2023 to 31 October 2023
Between these dates permits may be required to burn, please contact the Shire if you are unsure about the regulations.

Prohibited Burning Period: 

1 November 2023 to 7 February 2023
During this time all burning, including that of garden refuse, is prohibited.

Restricted Burning Period: 

8 February 2024 to 22 March 2024
Between these dates permits may be required to burn, please contact the Shire if you are unsure about the regulations.

You can contact the Shire for burning permits during the Restricted Burning Period. Requests can be accepted or refused on the day depending on particular safety criteria.

NOTE: PERMIT OR NO PERMIT, YOU CAN NOT BURN WHEN A FIRE BAN IS IN PLACE.
