The Shire of Wyalkatchem Council has elected Cr Christy Petchell as Shire President and Ms Mischa Stratford as Deputy President.

The Strategic Community Plan has been updated.

Anyone can speak up if they are concerned about the conduct of a public officer, and should ‘check 1, 2’ to make sure they report their concern with the right people. Councillors, CEO and Caroline Robinson will be holding 2 Community Consultation Sessions - be there if you would like to help shape Wyalkatchem's future. A third session will be held for the Community Groups Office Bearers.

The Shire is reviewing its Strategic Community Plan - let us know what direction we should be taking - be involved in shaping Wyalkatchem's future.

The Shires of Wyalkatchem, Trayning and Nungarin have received funds through the WA Bicycle Network Grants Program to develop a business case for the development of a dual use trail across the three Shire. We are currently exploring the possibility of using the existing maintenance tracks along the unused tier 3 rail network that link each of the shires.
